I didn't get into pools because I loved pools. I got into them because a guy I worked for in Vista needed a hand on his route one summer, and by the end of it I knew more about calcium hardness than I knew about most things. That was over fifteen years ago. I've been on North County pools ever since.
In that time I've started routes from nothing, grown them until I couldn't do them justice alone, and sold them to people I trusted to keep them right. Twice. The pools Next Level runs today are the ones I chose to keep — the accounts where I know the dog's name and which valve sticks in the winter. That's the size I want to stay. Big enough to always show up, small enough that I still know every pool on the list.
It teaches you that a pool in Shadowridge and a pool in Oceanhills are two different animals even though they're eleven miles apart. Inland water in Vista and San Marcos is hard enough that scale is a when, not an if. Coastal pools sit under the marine layer half the morning from May into July and burn through chlorine before lunch. Escondido and Fallbrook get ash on the water any time something burns east of the 15. And every one of them gets Santa Ana winds that fill a skimmer basket overnight.
You learn to read a filter gauge the way a mechanic listens to an engine. You learn that a pump that takes a little longer to prime in April is telling you something about July. And you learn that the person who owns the pool almost never gets told any of this — they just get a bill when it fails. I decided a long time ago that we'd do it differently: check the equipment on every visit, and tell the owner, in writing, what we saw.

When something on your equipment pad actually fails, we diagnose it and put the finding in writing. The work itself we hand to Pool-Clinic Inc., a licensed C-53 swimming pool contractor, CSLB #1122305. You contract with them directly and pay them directly. We take nothing. I'd rather send you to someone I trust than pretend to be something we're not.
We're certified and insured. We hold CPO (Certified Pool Operator) and CPI (Certified Pool Inspector) certifications through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance. Most customers have never heard of either one. They're the reason we can tell you what's actually wrong with your equipment instead of guessing at it.
