What a weekly visit includes, and how the plans differ.

Every plan starts from the same visit. The tech tests the water before anything else — free chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, stabilizer, and salt if you have a cell — and adjusts from what the test says. Then the pool gets brushed, the surface netted, the skimmer and pump baskets emptied, and the floor vacuumed when it needs it. Before he leaves he reads the filter gauge, watches the pump prime, and looks at the salt cell and heater. Then you get the photo and the numbers by email.

The difference between plans is how much of the physical cleaning you want us to carry versus what you're happy doing yourself. Pick by name, then call and we'll quote it for your pool's size. There are no prices on this page on purpose — a twelve-thousand-gallon plaster pool in Shadowridge and a forty-thousand-gallon pebble pool in the Covenant are not the same job, and we'd rather give you a real number than a starting-at number.

You picked Standard Weekly — get it quoted for your pool. Chemicals in, no contract, first 4 visits free.

Which one is right for you

Chemical-Only is for the owner who's out there with the brush on Saturday anyway. It's not a way to save money on a pool you don't have time for — a pool that isn't brushed grows algae in the shade corners no matter how good the chemistry is. Standard Weekly is the plan for almost every tract pool from Oceanside to Escondido. Full Service is for the Bonsall lot under a pepper tree or the Rancho Santa Fe pool with three features — pools where the filter and salt cell will need attention on a schedule anyway, so it's simpler to build it in.

Above-ground spas and fountains

We take them, on their own or alongside a pool. A weekly spa stop covers chemistry, a wipe-down of the waterline, and a look at the filter cartridge. If you have a spa and a pool, we quote them together. Fountains and water features get the same treatment: tested, balanced, and kept clear.

No contract on any plan. First four visits free for new weekly customers. If we ever skip a scheduled stop, that visit is free.

What changes your weekly rate

Six things move the number. We'll ask about most of them on the call, and we can see the rest from the address.

Size

Gallons, not square feet

Chemicals are dosed to volume and brushing time scales with wall area. A big Bonsall or Rancho Santa Fe pool takes more of both every week.

Spa

An attached spa is a second body of water

Small volume, hot water, heavy use — it drifts faster than the pool and gets tested and balanced on its own when it's in use.

Trees & debris

What lands on the water

Jacarandas, pepper trees, groves, open land upwind. A floor that needs vacuuming most weeks costs more to keep than one that needs it after a Santa Ana.

Condition

Where the pool is starting from

A clear pool goes straight onto the weekly rate. A green pool is a cleanup first, quoted on its own; the free month starts once it's swimmable.

Water

Inland hard water

Vista and San Marcos tap water is some of the hardest in the county: more acid to hold pH, more brushing on the tile line, a salt cell that scales faster.

Coast

Marine-layer chlorine demand

Oceanside and Carlsbad sit under overcast from May into July. Warm water and low light is what algae wants, so chlorine runs higher through the gray months.

Every plan comes with the photo report.

Whatever tier you're on, you get an email after every stop: a photo of your pool, the chemistry numbers, what we did, and anything to keep an eye on.

If we ever skip a scheduled stop, that visit is free.

Hi Mark — pool's done. FC 3.0 · pH 7.4 · Alk 90 · CH 320. Skimmer basket was packed from the Santa Ana, cleared it. Filter at 14 psi, normal. Salt cell reading 85% — fine for now, I'll watch it next month. — James

The first month is free. Here's exactly how it works.

New weekly customers get their first four visits on us. Not a discount, not a credit against a twelve-month agreement — four full weekly visits on the plan you picked, free, and then you decide.

Weeks one through four

You call, we quote the plan on the phone, and the first visit goes on the next route day that passes your house. For four weeks you get the whole visit and the photo report, and you pay nothing. By week three or four you'll know whether the pool looks the way you want it to. That's the decision.

Military, first responders, and hospital staff: weeks one through eight

Camp Pendleton is our backyard. Military — active, reserve, retired, or veteran, any branch — plus first responders and hospital staff: your first two months are free. PCS orders? Tell us the date and we pause or cancel the same day, no fee. Details on the military page.

Walk away, owe nothing

At the end of the free month you either keep going at the quoted rate, month to month, or you tell us to stop and you owe nothing. The only fine print: new weekly customers, one per household, and the pool needs to be swimmable to start.

Billing, cancellation, and the guarantees

Month to month. You're billed monthly at the quoted rate, chemicals included, and you can stop any time by telling us. No annual agreement, no cancellation fee, no notice period beyond the phone call.

Two promises come with every plan, and they're why we don't need a contract. Same tech, same day, every week. And if we ever skip a scheduled stop, that visit is free — you'll know because you didn't get the photo.

Equipment fails
Sold the fix by the same company that services the pool
Diagnosed in writing; the fix goes to a C-53 you deal with directly

When equipment fails, no plan includes the fix. On purpose.

Most pool companies sell service and sell the fix. That's a conflict of interest sitting on your equipment pad, and it's why we don't do it.

When a pump won't prime, a heater won't fire, or a salt cell reads zero, we run the checks and put the finding in writing: what's wrong, whether to run it, watch it, or shut it off, and our honest opinion on fix versus replace. Flow problems we can usually clear on the spot — a packed basket, a filter that's due, a pump that needs re-priming. Anything with parts goes to the partner below. How a diagnostic visit works is on the diagnostics page.

When it needs a C-53

The work goes to our referral partner, Pool-Clinic Inc., a licensed C-53 swimming pool contractor, CSLB #1122305. You contract with them directly and pay them directly. We take nothing.

Because we don't earn on the fix, our write-up has no reason to say anything but what's true. Plenty of our customers have been told by us not to replace something.

Plan questions

The ones we get on the phone. If yours isn't here, call — the owner picks up.

How much does weekly pool service cost in North County San Diego?

It depends on the pool's size, whether there's a spa, what lands on the water, and where you are — the six things above. We'd rather give you a real number than a starting-at number, so we quote it on the phone in about two minutes, chemicals included, no contract. Or send us the address and we'll text it back.

What's included in the weekly visit?

On Standard Weekly and Full Service: water tested and balanced, walls and tile brushed, surface netted, baskets emptied, floor vacuumed when it needs it, filter pressure and pump flow read, salt cell and heater looked at, and a photo report emailed before we leave. Chemical-Only is the testing, balancing, and equipment check; you do the brushing and baskets.

Are chemicals included in the monthly price?

Yes, on every plan. Chlorine, acid, and the routine balancing chemicals are part of the weekly rate. The exceptions are one-time treatments — a green pool cleanup, a phosphate knockdown, a stain lift — which we quote separately and only do with your OK.

Are filter cleans and salt cell cleaning included?

On Full Service, yes. On Chemical-Only and Standard Weekly they're quoted separately. The standard is a filter clean every three months as a preventive measure, with the salt cell clean bundled into the same visit — sooner if the gauge climbs 8–10 psi over its clean reading.

Is equipment work included?

No, and we don't sell it. When equipment fails we diagnose it and put the finding in writing. Work that needs a C-53 goes to Pool-Clinic Inc., a licensed C-53 swimming pool contractor, CSLB #1122305. You contract with them directly and pay them directly. We take nothing.

Do I have to sign a contract? How do I cancel?

No contract on any plan. You're billed month to month at the quoted rate. To cancel, call or text and tell us — that's the whole process. No cancellation fee, no notice period. Military families with PCS orders get paused or cancelled the same day.

How does the free first month work? Is military really eight free visits?

New weekly customers get their first four visits free on whichever plan they picked, then decide. Military households (active, reserve, retired, or veteran, any branch), first responders, and hospital staff get eight. One per household, and the pool needs to be swimmable to start. Not happy at the end? Walk away, you owe nothing.

Will the same tech come on the same day every week — and what if you miss a week?

Yes, same tech, same day. If he's out, you'll hear from us before the visit. If we ever skip a scheduled stop, that visit is free — you'll know because the photo report didn't arrive.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. Owners go from Chemical-Only to Standard Weekly when the Saturday brushing stops being fun, and from Standard to Full Service after the first fall under a jacaranda. Tell us and we'll requote it on the phone; it changes on the next visit.

Military, first responder, or hospital staff? Your first 8 visits are free.

Camp Pendleton is our backyard, and we know what shift work does to a pool. Two months of weekly service on us. PCS orders? We pause or cancel, no fee.
